Northeast Florida is full of talented actors, designers, stage managers, and directors. Lumen Rep exists because talent alone doesn’t build a thriving theatre community; artists need to be paid, trained, and invested in as whole people, not just talent to be used up.
That is why every position at Lumen Rep, onstage and off, is compensated. We are Northeast Florida’s only Actors’ Equity affiliated professional nonprofit theatre company, and we bring that same care to our production teams, our apprentices, and our staff.

Actors
We cast paid, professional actors under Equity and non-Equity contracts. General Auditions are held every January and are the best place to begin; self-tape submissions are welcome year-round.
Production Personnel
Directors, production managers, technical directors, stage managers, ASMs, house managers, and designers are engaged production by production, and every position is paid.

Apprentice Company
Our paid training initiative for emerging artists. This year’s company is five actors working alongside our professional cast; beginning in 2027, it expands to welcome stage managers, directors, and designers too.
